The faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) of the American University of Beirut currently seeks for its Medical Audiology Sciences program two candidates with a PhD or AuD degree in Audiology, at the ranks of assistant, associate or full professor depending on qualifications. Visiting positions at all levels may be considered. 

FHS was established in 1954 as the first school of public health in the Arab world. At the undergraduate level, FHS offers a BS in Environmental Health (EH), BS in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), Medical Imaging Sciences (MIS) and Medical Audiology Sciences (MAS). MLS, MIS and MAS are interdisciplinary programs offered by the Division of Health Professions, which is coordinated jointly by FHS and Faculty of Medicine (FM).  The Graduate Public Health Program (GPHP) at FHS is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and includes the Master of Public Health with three different concentrations, and a Master of Science in Epidemiology. FHS also offers an MS in Environmental Sciences ‐ major Environmental Health and an Executive Master in Health Care Leadership (EMHCL). 

The MAS Program is the first audiology program in Lebanon and one of only a few in the region.  During the first year of study, students take basic science and elective courses. In the second and third year, students learn in ‐ depth theory and application in sub‐specialized fields within medical audiology sciences. Courses are designed and timed to work in parallel with clinical training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). The program enrolls approximately 12 ‐ 15 new students each year. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
-  Clinical teaching experience, 
-  Expertise in one or more of the following areas: clinical audiology, pediatric audiology, electrophysiology, vestibular assessment, amplification, aural rehabilitation
-  Demonstrated research agenda based on published works and/or external funding 
-  Evidence of involvement with professional associations and organizations 

Teaching responsibilities include: delivering basic and advanced courses in audiology to undergraduate students in the field of audiology, as well as supervising students during some of their practicum work and their final year project.The successful candidate will also contribute to the research and outreach programs of the department and will be involved in the development of a graduate program in Audiology.
