The Department of Internal Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine is seeking physician candidates for the position of Associate or Full Professor of Medicine to join the Division of Infectious Diseases. Candidates must have graduated from an ACGME accredited infectious diseases training program. Candidates must have received formal training in infection control and hospital epidemiology. 

Candidates must have field experience in healthcare and infectious epidemiology, including the investigation of outbreaks, setting up of surveillance systems, analysis of data, and development of policies. Candidates must also have experience in the design and conduct of clinical trials, and must have the potential for collaborating with regional and international academic research organizations to conduct clinical research in Lebanon. In addition, candidates must have displayed interest in pursuing a career in academic medicine as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals. Appointment to rank will be commensurate with experience and scholarly record. 

The candidate shall have an associate appointment with the Global Health Institute (GHI). GHI is the regional leader and a key partner in defining and addressing the global health agenda, especially components relevant to the MENA region and other regions in the Global South. The candidate must also have the potential to launch a Global Health Program on Communicable Diseases.
