Job description
Manages and coordinates the company's supply chain function across sub-functions such as logistics, warehousing, procurement and distribution to meet company’s business requirements.
DUTIES SUMMARY:
-Negotiates long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply.
-Maintains relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information.
- Design, propose and implement logistic and supply chain strategies, guidelines and procedures within broad principles and policies set by the organization.
- Oversee the purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimum cost.
- Ensure the execution of procurement strategies across the firm to secure consistent and high-quality value delivery.
- Implement best practices in procurement and supplier management to support commercial and operational objectives.
- Develop, implement, and monitor all logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials and distribution of products.
- Manage the supply chain team, build their capacity, support their professional development and enable them to optimize their contribution to the department.
- Analyze food and beverages industry trends and evolving food production tools to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk and protect the continuity of supply.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor degree in Business Management or equivalent
- MBA and/or International Supply Chain certificate is a plus
- 15+ years experience in Supply Chain with at least 5 of them in a managerial position
- Fluency in English and Arabic, French is a plus
