Roles and Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the organization, logistics and preparations of life skills trainings, and other planned events.
  2. Conduct livelihood assessments including market analysis, institutional mapping.
  3. Liaise with all relevant department to ensure coordinated planning and implementation of livelihood intervention.
  4. Undertake advocacy for person of concern access to decent work and livelihood opportunities.
  5. Refer cases which require additional support to the case worker for follow up.
  6. Maintain all relevant documentation of the program accordingly, such as attendance sheets, MoU’s, training and development plans as well as other relevant documentation.
  7. Monitor the progress of the implementation of community projects and internships accordingly, conducting daily visits and maintain a regular presence on site to ensure smooth running of the intervention.
  8. Maintain regular contact with NGO’s involved in the field of livelihoods and income generation.
  9. Oversees appropriate documentation of the livelihoods and income generation work.

Specific Tasks in CP:
  1. Liaise with CP department by receiving referral of vulnerable children and their caregivers, assess their needs by identifying the training’s type or internship’s type associated with that need.
  2. Find a relation between beneficiary’s background and the potential job market.
  3. Prepare a list of beneficiaries that should be submitted to the Vocational Training Program.
  4. Follow up with beneficiaries.
  5. Perform a field visit once a week in order to assure that the beneficiary is attending the training and internship sessions.
  6. Follow up with beneficiaries to ask them about the challenges that they are facing and try to find a solution to these challenges.
  7. Ask trainers about the materials needed and provide it as requested.
  8. Perform statistical studies before and after performing his job for the sake of proving the results of his job.
  9. Provide counseling services on life skills, vocational training and 2-month cash for work training; and match job seekers with the trainings that they received.
  10. Observe and evaluate results of training programs Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements.
  11. Maintain proper and updated monitoring of all field activities with proper documentation of such monitoring activities including list of participants, attendance, questionnaires, pre and posttests, focus group discussions… etc.

Specific Tasks in SAWC:
  1. Asses beneficiaries’ problems and needs and solving the problem by identifying the training’s type or internship’s type associated with that need.
  2. Find a relation between beneficiary’s background and the potential job market.
  3. Prepare a list of beneficiaries that should be submitted to the Vocational Training Program.
  4. Follow up with beneficiaries.
  5. Perform a field visit once a week in order to assure that the beneficiary is attending the training and internship sessions.
  6. Follow up with beneficiaries to ask them about the challenges that they are facing and try to find a solution to these challenges.
  7. Ask trainers about the materials needed and provide it as requested.
  8. Perform statistical studies before and after performing his job for the sake of proving the results of his job.
  9. Ensure all the placements of internship are safe and under criteria of child protection.
  10. Conduct regular visits to monitor interns and employees.
  11. Assess apprenticeship cases (15-17) years old that are street working in order to identify their needs and match them with VTP.
  12. Match them with internships in the potential job market after finishing the training.
  13. Report to the Senior Skills Officer all the data that are required to perform weekly and monthly reports.
  14. Cooperate with the Senior Skills Officer in focus groups’ discussion to identify beneficiary’s needs.
