JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:Consultant to support development of Emergency Protocols for Human Call Hospital in Ein El Helweh Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon.
Job Location: Beirut & Ein El Helweh Camp in Sidon, Lebanon
Job Description:
1. Review all existing guidelines, SOPs, and materials available at the hospital;
2. Meeting with clinical and admin staff at the hospital to understand better the status quo of the care in the hospital and main challenges and obstacles to deliver quality care;
3. Identify, with other experts, all reference materials that could be considered for developing the protocols including MoH guidelines;
4. Discuss with the lead ER expert the process to develop ER protocols;
5. Take a lead in the drafting of protocols covering essential elements to manage medical, surgical, obstetrics, and pediatrics clinical emergencies that are commonly seen in ER of the Human Call Hospital;
6. Follow up with staff in Human Call hospital (3 visits/year) in respect to requirements for effective implementation of the protocols and any challenges that may impede utilization of these new guidelines and modify the protocols accordingly. During this mission, the ER expert should keep the ER lead expert posted with all updates, challenges, decisions, and progress of the process.
