Faculty Position in Structural Engineering/Concrete Materials​

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Structural Engineering/Concrete Materials, preferably at the level of Assistant Professor.  Applications for a visiting position at all ranks may also be considered.

The successful candidate must hold a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and must demonstrate potential for quality research and teaching.  Research interests should encompass experimental research on design and behavior of reinforced concrete structures/materials, innovative/sustainable materials with applications to structural engineering, and infrastructure systems and materials.

The candidate is expected to teach structural design courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering curricula, and must demonstrate strong research potential that will lead to external funding and scholarly publications.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with faculty in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and across the AUB campus.
