We are interested in candidates who use multidisciplinary approaches to understand the function or plasticity of the nervous system. Of particular interest are candidates who complement existing strengths in the department, including sensory, systems, and molecular and developmental neuroscience. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active, research program and to teach Neurosciences to medical, paramedical and graduate students, and to participate in the training of graduate students.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. and a minimum of 3 years post-doctoral training (or equivalent) in an area of neuroscience and a demonstrated record of professional achievement. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in the neurophysiology of sensory systems and with one or more years experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably teaching neuroscience (lectures and laboratories) in a graduate or medical school setting and some experience and/or ability to teach other related courses such as: physiology, cellular and molecular biology, etc.
